I love old cars(gearhead alert)

I love old sports and muscle cars, and motorcycles with a passion. It's been this way ever since I was a little tyke.

I don't know what it is about powerful and exotic vehicles, I just can't help myself(those who know me can attest to this). Every time i see some fancy ride I have to go out of my way to point it out.

Thats why I did this a while back, just thought I should share it.

1959 Porsche 356, so beautiful.

I know I'm gonna have to break down and draw some more hot rides soon. Seriously.

Stay tuned folks.

Cosmic stuff

My fam had a BBQ here a few weeks ago and I had the utmost good fortune.

I met this uber awesome professional Painter/landscape artist who was a lot of fun to talk to and stuff. She's the GF of one of the guys playing in my dad's blues band.

So to cut a relatively long story short, I might be able to go and learn a thing or two from this chick. I'm sure I'd learn a lot too, because she is very skilled. If I apply what I learn from her to my style and subject matter, I would be pro!!!

Interesting

Well now, might as well give you all a taste of what I am capable of. Sci-fi anything is the shiz-NIGHT!!!

These are all really recent. The dude up on top I colored in with some marker action, since I recently acquired more than 220 prisma and letraset markers on Craigslist, for practically nothing.

They are a lot of fun to use and they enable to to render very quickly. Which is nice, when I am compelled to spill my thoughts onto paper.

The middle one, I did after finally getting a "basic"(as basic as you can get) level of competence in CS2. I had a lot of fun playing with stark contrasts and lighting effects in this one. Airbrush tool=ftw.

I don't know why, but sci-fi themes like this have always been fascinating to me. You know, like strange mechanical devices, heavy suits of power armor and stuff, robotic mega-entities, all very mystifying and intriguing.

And lastly, BAM! chicks like her are always fun too. Especially from that view. Hehe!!!

Anyhoo, enough enough already. For now that is....

Time to blog it!

The name is Piers and I am an aspiring artist/illustrator. I wanna be a pro some day, and I want my name to mean something.

I'll be filling you in about details concerning my journey to the top. Get ready for this!!!
